Pusoy Dos basics
Pusoy Dos (Filipino “Big Two”) is played by 2–4 players with a 52-card deck, 13 cards each in a four-player game. The player holding the 3 of clubs starts. The goal is to be first to get rid of all your cards.
Card and suit ranking
Ranks from lowest to highest: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2 (highest). Suits in Pusoy Dos: clubs < spades < hearts < diamonds.
Valid combinations
- Single, pair, three of a kind.
- Five-card hands, lowest to highest: straight, flush, full house, four of a kind (+1 card), straight flush.
How play works
Each player must beat the previous play with a higher combination of the same type (single beats single, five-card hand beats five-card hand), or pass. When everyone passes, the last player to play starts a new round with any combination.
